Role Summary

The Group Management Accountant plays a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting across the organisation. This position supports executive decision-making through strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and funding requirements within a multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare and manage monthly group management accounts, including consolidated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
  • Oversee intercompany accounting, eliminations, and reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Provide high-quality financial insights, analysis, and executive-level commentary to support decision-making
  • Analyse key operational drivers, including funding utilisation, care hours vs revenue, occupancy, and cost efficiency
  • Support and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes
  • Lead financial systems management (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central/D365) and maintain reporting tools such as Jet Reporting
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and standardisation of reporting practices
  • Maintain strong governance and internal controls, including compliance with GST, payroll tax, and regulatory obligations
  • Support audits, statutory reporting, and risk management across the group
  • Mentor junior finance team members and collaborate with non-finance stakeholders to build financial understanding

 

This role is being hired on a permanent full time basis and is located at our new modern office in West Perth.    

Skills, Attributes and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Senior or Management Accountant in a multi-entity or group environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Business Central/D365)
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, consolidation, and commercial analysis
  • CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to stakeholders
  • Experience within aged care and/or disability services
  • Advanced capability in Jet Reporting
  • Exposure to executive or board-level reporting
  • Experience in system implementation or finance transformation initiatives
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required compliance checks, including NDIS clearance and National Police Clearance
