Title: Respite Coordinator - Housing & Accommodation

Role Summary
The Respite Coordinator will oversee incoming enquiries, liaise with potential clients and their families, and proactively identify opportunities to connect with individuals who may benefit from short-term disability accommodation in our disability services accommodation. The role will serve as a key member of our team responsible for managing and coordinating respite services across our NDIS houses in Western Australia (WA) and Queensland (QLD). This role will focus on providing high-quality short-stay accommodation options for individuals with disability, ensuring their needs are met in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact, collaborate with clients and their families, provide detailed information, and conduct visits to clients.
- Identify and engage potential clients, build relationships with key stakeholders, and promote services at events.
- Ensure facility readiness, coordinate client placements, and optimize bookings.
- Maintain accurate client information, assist with paperwork, and ensure compliance with NDIS standards.
- Communicate expectations with the operations team and address client queries promptly.
- Conduct regular visits, address issues proactively, gather feedback, and foster strong client relationships.
- Build trust with clients and families, convert respite clients to permanent accommodation, and collaborate with the operations team.
- Monitor client satisfaction, ensure adherence to NDIS guidelines, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Skills, Attributes and Experience
- Experience in disability support, NDIS services, or community care sectors.
- Knowledge of respite accommodation services and the unique needs of individuals with disabilities.
- Proven experience in client engagement, customer service, or relationship management.
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- A full and valid C class driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work and communicate effectively with clients, their families, community agencies, and other professionals.
