Role Summary

The role of the Quality & Compliance Officer is to support the organisational requirements to ensure compliance with the national standards for Disability services. This is achieved by providing support to both the Senior Quality and Compliance Officer and to the broader stakeholders within St Jude's and the subsidiaries of St Jude's. The role plays a key part in ensuring that compliance and quality systems are in line with relevant standards, regulatory guidelines, state and federal law and the policies/procedures of the organisation.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintaining a monthly audit calendar and conducting internal audits/surveys to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures, NDIS practice standards and WorkSafe OH&S regulations.
  • Maintaining registers for incidents and feedback and liaise with managers and coordinators of respective divisions for follow up and resolution.
  • Schedule meetings and prepare communications relating to quality and compliance. 
  • Collaborate with Senior Quality and Compliance Officer to collate and analyse monthly statistics.
  • Collating and analysing monthly statistics and reports relating to client/staff feedback on matters of quality and compliance.

This role will be located at our charming facility in Bicton. The role will be hired on a permanent full-time basis.  

Skills, Attributes and Experience

Previous experience working within a quality and compliance capacity or within health care is desirable. However, more important will be your ability to apply yourself, learn and grow within the role. We are happy to train, educate and guide people who don't have relevant industry experience.

Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for details, proficiency working with MS Office applications and strong administration skills. You will also have a track record of remaining organised in a deadline-driven environment that's filled with competing priorities. You will have well developed interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and be a willing and effective team player.     

As well as the above, the Key Requirements include:

  • The positivity and enthusiasm required to succeed in a new position.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Qualifications and/or experience within a relevant field is desirable, but not essential.
