Role Summary
Our Occupational Therapists strive to make our client's goals a reality. Specifically, there is an opportunity to work with children, with options to also work with adults if this is of interest to you! You will work with children funded by the NDIS to achieve their individual goals and dreams. No one day will be the same. The role takes responsibility for managing a caseload, including correspondence with families, therapists and services, schools and other key stakeholders. The role is responsible for providing 1:1 intervention with children in schools, their home or the clinic environment, implementing recommendations and resources, and providing training and support to those that support the child on a daily basis to maximise goal achievement. There is also a focus on working with other members of the broader allied health team to ensure consistency of support planning.
Responsibilities and Duties

Applying a specialist understanding of the effects and impact of all aspects of a disability on a child’s occupations and roles, such as play and learning

Implement and monitor individual plans to enable children to perform occupations that foster health and well-being in their everyday life

Working with families and key stakeholders to share goals and ensure a consistent approach to supporting the child, maximising goal achievement

Maintaining accurate, timely, and appropriate records including but not limited to progress notes, progress reports, assistive technology applications and other relevant documentation
We are happy to consider hiring this position on either a permanent part-time or full-time basis. As mentioned above, you may work with adults as well, if this is of interest to you!
Skills, Attributes and Experience

They will also demonstrate a commitment to being a productive and positive member of the broader allied health team focused on ensuring that a multidisciplinary approach is implemented.
As well as the above skills, the Key Requirements include:
- Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
- Possess or willing to obtain both an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
