Role Summary

Our Occupational Therapists strive to make our clients’ goals a reality. You will work within the NDIS framework, supporting clients to achieve meaningful outcomes and pursue their aspirations. No two days will be the same.

This role includes managing a caseload, maintaining correspondence with families and representatives, and providing advice on lifestyle adjustments and environmental modifications. You will also collaborate closely with the broader allied health team to ensure a consistent and multidisciplinary approach to support planning.

As this role includes a paediatric caseload, you will be working with children and their families to deliver evidence-based, child‑centred interventions that support developmental, functional, and behavioural goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Applying a specialist understanding of the effects and impact of all aspects of a disability on a client’s occupations and roles
  • Implement and monitor individual plans to enable clients to perform occupations that foster health and well-being in their everyday life
  • Working with families and stakeholders to share goals and provide practical advice
  • Deliver paediatric‑focused interventions such as functional assessments, sensory‑based strategies, fine motor/ gross motor development programs, and school‑readiness skill building
  • Maintaining accurate, timely, and appropriate records of progress notes, reports, and other relevant documentation

 

This role is being hired on either a permanent part-time or full-time basis and is based out of our central office in Belmont, WA. Please note that in Q2, the office is relocating to West Perth.

Skills, Attributes and Experience

Our ideal candidates will pride themselves on their ability to build and deliver person-centered care that values the choice of the client. They will have the people skills to develop and maintain meaningful, lasting relationships with the clients and their families.

We are seeking candidates with proven experience in developing and implementing therapy programs, particularly within paediatric settings. A strong commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration is essential.
 

Key Requirements include:

 

  • Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Paediatric experience required, ideally within NDIS, early intervention, or community-based settings
  • Ability to assess and support developmental, functional, and sensory needs of children
  • Possess or willing to obtain both an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
