Role Summary
Join our team as a Gardener and make a genuine difference in the lives of people living with disability. This rewarding role goes beyond maintaining outdoor spaces, it’s about creating safe and enjoyable environments that enhance our clients’ quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain and care for garden beds to ensure they are healthy and visually appealing
- Perform regular lawn mowing and edging to keep outdoor areas neat and tidy
- Inspect, maintain, and repair reticulation (irrigation) systems
- Carry out pruning and trimming of plants, shrubs, and small trees
- Clean windows to enhance the overall presentation of client homes
- Complete general outdoor maintenance tasks as required
- Identify and address basic garden and property upkeep needs proactively
This is a full-time role for an initial period of approximately 8 weeks, with the potential for extension. Standard working hours will be either 8:00am–4:00pm or 9:00am–5:00pm. The role involves working across various locations throughout the Perth metropolitan area. Successful applicants must have their own tools and trailer available for work purposes.
Skills, Attributes and Experience
W are seeking a candidate with substantial gardening experience who genuinely enjoys working outdoors! The key to success in this role will be your willingness to go above and beyond to support clients, delivering high-quality results and outstanding customer service.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Ownership of all required gardening tools and equipment
- A valid driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
- A current police clearance issued within the past 12 months, or willingness to obtain one
