Role Summary

The Quality & Compliance Officer supports the Carinya of Bicton and Carinya on Bristol management to ensure the facility complies with relevant regulatory requirements, as well as assisting a broad range of functions for the facility. The role plays a crucial part in ensuring that the facility remains organised and runs effectively, and works closely with the management of the facility to accomplish this. The role also has responsibilities around maintaining a training calendar for staff at the facility and organising the relevant forms and payroll processes for this.  

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintaining a monthly audit calendar and conducting internal audits.
  • Schedule meetings focused on resident care, quality reviews and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the monthly quality meetings to ensure relevant compliance targets are being met. 
  • Completing weekly hazard inspections and reports.
  • Identify trends, serious incidents and complaints and immediately report to the Senior Quality & Compliance Officer and Division Managers 
  • Support sites in identifying data trends that may require remedial actions through continuous improvement 

This role is being hired on a permanent full-time basis and is based out of our Carinya facilities. 

Skills, Attributes and Experience

We are looking for an energetic, proactive and organised professional who is able to take a leading role in the facility around demonstrating best practice for documentation, reporting and compliance standards for a residential aged care facility. Our ideal candidate is able to wear many different hats, keen to go above and beyond for the facility in general, and will take pride in the day-to-day success and purpose of their work. We are looking for someone who is a bright, effective communicator, comfortable interacting with people from all walks of life and who is able to show resilience when the work becomes challenging. 

Key selection criteria includes:

  • Previous experience working within the aged care sector.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
