Role Summary

Our Physiotherapists work with residents to help them achieve their goals, promoting independence and participation. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team comprising management, allied health, nursing staff and other health professionals to deliver services that optimise the well-being, mobility, pain management, and recovery of older adults in residential aged care.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Utilise advanced physiotherapy diagnostics and treatment skills to meet the needs and preferences of residents

  • Contribute positively to multi-disciplinary care planning for residents

  • Engage in case conferencing and problem-solving for complex care needs

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times concerning company matters and prevent disclosure of confidential information

  • Report regularly to management

  • Contribute to resolving complaints where appropriate

  • Participate in performance development meetings to identify ongoing training and support opportunities

  • Ensure adherence to all workplace health and safety policies and legislation, adopting safe work practices

This role is being hired on a permanent part-time basis and is based out of our charming facility in Bicton.

Skills, Attributes and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy with current AHPRA registration
  • Knowledge of the requirements of the Aged Care Standards
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver therapy-based programs
  • Previous experience working in an aged care setting is highly desirable 
  • A police clearance within 12 months, or willingness to obtain one
  • An NDIS Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
