Role Summary

We are currently seeking two Occupational Therapists to join our Residential Aged Care team, with opportunities available across both North and South of the River Perth locations. In this rewarding role, you will support residents to maintain their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assess residents' Occupational Therapy needs and identify opportunities to maximise independence.
  • Develop and implement person-centred therapy plans and interventions.
  • Review and evaluate care plans to ensure positive resident outcomes.
  • Monitor resident progress and measure the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Support residents with behaviours of concern and maintain associated documentation.
  • Collaborate with care teams to deliver high-quality, holistic resident care.

Skills, Attributes and Experience

The ideal candidate will pride themselves on their ability to build and deliver person-centered care that values the choice of the client. They will have the people skills to build and maintain meaningful, lasting relationships with their clients. They will also demonstrate a commitment to being a productive and positive team player at the facility, and in creating a homely, healthy and happy atmosphere.

 

Key Criteria Includes:

  • Holding a relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience working within residential aged care will be highly regarded but is not essential
  • Experience in behavioural support and dementia care highly regarded
