Title: Gardener
Role Summary
The role of the Gardener provides quality gardening services to our Bethania Gardens facility and its stunning surrounding grounds! You'll be responsible for typical duties such as maintaining garden beds, lawn mowing, reticulation maintenance, pruning, window cleaning and more. In providing these services to the facility, you will play a role in bettering the lives of our residents through contributing towards the creation of a beautiful, safe and homely environment for them.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Plant and maintain garden beds, pot plants and lawns
- Fertilise and aerate lawns to ensure healthy growth
- Trim and prune trees to maintain appearance and safety
- Perform maintenance and cleaning of windows, entrances/exits and car park
- Contribute to a welcoming and positive customer service experience for all residents
This role is located out of our welcoming Bethania Gardens facility! The position will be hired on a permanent full-time basis and works from 0830 - 1630, Monday - Friday. Tools and an on-site vehicle are provided as part of the role.
Skills, Attributes and Experience
We are hoping to find someone who has significant gardening experience and is a natural lover of the outdoors! Most importantly will be your preparedness to go above and beyond to best assist the facility and your ability to impress the residents with your end product and customer service throughout.
Key selection criteria includes:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Proof of working rights - Passport or visa
- Valid driver's licence
- Certificate in Horticulture or a similar qualification is highly desirable, but not essential.
