Title: Receptionist
Our elite, charming residential aged care facility, Midland Nursing Home, has been caring for the elderly in Perth's East community since 1972. Midland Nursing Home, a part of the St Jude's Health Care Group, strives to feel like home for its residents and our staff are tasked with caring for residents as they would for their own family. Our experience in service delivery is reflected through more than 50 years of maintaining the highest of standards for our residents.
Role Summary
The role of the Receptionist is to be an efficient, friendly and informative first point of contact for residents and guests who visit or phone the facility. The role has a real customer service focus towards both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that enquiries are appropriately managed. The role also provides broad administrative support to the various professionals who work within the facility.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Welcoming and settling visitors to the facility
- Operating a phone switchboard and directing calls appropriately
- Managing the mail and courier requirements for the facility
- Maintaining organisational cleanliness and hygiene standards
This role is being hired on a permanent full-time basis and is located out of our charming facility in Midland!
Skills, Attributes and Experience
Our ideal candidate will be a natural people-pleaser with a positive, proactive attitude. You will be familiar with paying attention to the finer details in your work and have familiarity with working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. You will use your people skills and acquired knowledge of the organisation to effectively solve problems for stakeholders of various levels. You will be a committed team player who communicates effectively with your broader teams and keeps everyone in the loop.
Key selection criteria includes:
- Well presented with a corporate outlook
- Previous experience working as a Receptionist is highly desirable
- Proficiency with MS Office applications, particularly Outlook
- A National Police Clearance within 12 months, or willingness to obtain one
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one
