Role Summary

Our Schedulers are the sensational first point of contact for our clients. The primary responsibility for the role is to ensure that requests for temporary staffing solutions placed by our clients are filled efficiently and with the most effective use of the personnel resources that are available. You will satisfy these client requests by successfully utilising the portfolio of health care professionals who are attached to Carers Plus. The role guarantees that all requests are responded to in a prompt and professional manner and participates in problem solving, proposing solutions to scheduling issues in consultation with the broader Carers Plus team.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Scheduling temporary staff in line with customer requests and preferences
  • Recording of scheduled shifts in the scheduling system
  • Ensuring that the scheduling of staff members is logistically sound and represents an efficient and effective use of staffing resources
  • Attending to day to day rescheduling requests to cover unplanned changes in staff availability, including sick leave and personal leave
  • Ensuring appropriate compatibility of staff with clients and service users with consideration given to skills and lifestyle preferences

This role works a rotating roster, with the shift timings as follows: 6:00am-2:00pm or 11:00am-7:00pm. This position is being hired on a permanent full-time basis and is located out of our Belmont office.

Skills, Attributes and Experience

Our ideal candidate is a natural people person who approaches their work with a customer service focus at heart and who enjoys solving problems for their clients. Previous experience within a comparable role or working within the health sectors is desirable, but not essential. More important will be your ability to communicate and converse effectively with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, your ability to quickly learn and operate systems, and your knack for thinking on your feet and staying organised in a fast-paced environment.  

Key Criteria Includes:

  • Previous experience in a scheduling capacity or within a comparable role is desirable, but not essential
  • Excellent administration skills built on a keen eye for details
  • The ability to apply logical thought processes and remain composed under pressure
  • Taking pride in being a constructive, supportive member of the Carers Plus team
  • A high level of computer literacy and proficiency with systems
